Arkansas State University has an online program for a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree. The online format offers the advantages of a master’s education without requiring students to visit campus.
About the MEM Program
Students who earn an undergraduate engineering degree have many options for additional education after graduation. One path now available is the Master of Engineering Management degree offered by Arkansas State University (A-State). The MEM degree gives recent graduates or working engineers the chance to advance their technical skills while also learning the fundamentals of business management.
The skill set students acquire in the MEM program makes them strong candidates for managerial and leadership roles in engineering companies. The degree is a good fit for engineers who want to learn more about business and management.
Requirements for the A-State Online MEM Program
To apply, prospective students need to complete and submit the online application (select “Master of Engineering Management” in the drop-down list on the application). There is a $30 nonrefundable application fee.
Along with the application, prospective students must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities they have attended — the Office of the Registrar sends official, sealed transcripts, so students should contact each office at each institution they attended.
Applicants also need a baccalaureate degree or a master’s degree with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale from an accredited institution. A GRE or GMAT is not necessary.
After you have submitted your application and transcripts, it should take about three weeks for A-State to process your application and make a decision. You will receive a letter informing you of the decision. If you are accepted into the program, the letter will include instructions for enrolling in the program online.
The Master of Engineering Management degree program can help engineers become leaders in their fields. Potential students with an undergraduate degree in engineering who want to add business skills to their technical knowledge and abilities are ideal candidates.
