In this online master's program, you will learn advanced counseling techniques to engage students and help them overcome the personal, academic and social hardships that surface after distressing events. In addition, you will learn how to design and implement a crisis plan and how to serve as a leader in your school and community during a time of crisis. By gaining an understanding of the nature and needs of students at all developmental levels and in multicultural contexts, you will learn to guide their personal and professional development.
