Built for Your Schedule, Not Your Zip Code

Arkansas State University’s online B.S. in Business Administration is built for students anywhere in the U.S. who want to finish a business degree without relocating. Because the program is completed entirely online and every U.S. resident pays the same tuition ($302 per credit hour), your location does not limit your access. The program carries AACSB accreditation through the Neil Griffin College of Business, giving you a nationally recognized credential from a public university, and you can apply up to 90 transfer credit hours plus A-State-approved credit for prior learning. Students in or near Arkansas can also draw on the state’s employer network, which includes the headquarters of Walmart, Tyson Foods, J.B. Hunt Transport Services and Dillard’s, and with elective pathways in supply chain management, sales and marketing analytics. Military-affiliated students can have training documented on a Joint Services Transcript evaluated for credit, and Arkansas National Guard members may qualify for the state’s National Guard Tuition Waiver; see A-State's military page. For state authorization details, visit the State Authorization & Licensure Disclosures page.

Traditionally, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) has focused on core business principles and operations while the BSBA has delved into integrated science, research and business technology. However, due to the rapid evolution of global economics, digital commerce and automated supply chain logistics over the last decade, curriculum for the two degrees may now have a bit more in common. The BSBA remains the better option if you are seeking a thorough business education that prepares you to grow, adapt and thrive as a leader. While you prepare for strategic and management roles, you also will gain experience using the digital tools and technologies that are driving business innovation in every industry.
It depends on the number of transfer credits you may have. In A-State's 100% online BSBA program, you can apply up to 90 transfer credit hours toward your degree and get a quick start. With accelerated seven-week courses in the fall and spring and five-week courses during the summer, you can also learn faster online with A-State and graduate sooner.
You can pursue a wide range of in-demand jobs with a BSBA, and work in many different fields. Potential career paths include accounting, finance, management, operations, business intelligence, corporate sales and consulting. The degree is also excellent preparation for running your own business or working for a start-up company in any industry.
The degree requires 120 credit hours and accepts up to 90 transfer credit hours, so a student whose maximum credits transfer completes 30 credit hours at A-State. At $302 per credit hour, 30 credit hours comes to $9,060 in tuition. Transcript evaluation happens during admission and varies by student. Tuition can change yearly.
The ten pathways fall into four groups, which can help determine elective alignment with your goals. For marketing and sales roles, choose Marketing, Sales or Marketing Analytics; Marketing Analytics adds Google Analytics, Excel and Tableau and was developed with A-State’s strategic management department. For finance and banking careers, choose Finance or Economics, or choose Financial Wellness if you want to focus on financial plans, investment acumen and insurance techniques. For operations and people management, choose Supply Chain Management or Human Resource Management. For law or property, choose Business Law, which prepares students to apply to law school, or Real Estate, which does not lead to licensure. The degree requires 16 credit hours of electives, including three upper-level credit hours.
Both are 120-credit-hour online bachelor’s degrees at $302 per credit hour with up to 90 transfer credit hours. The BSBA is AACSB-accredited and centers on accounting, finance, marketing, operations and business analytics, with 66 credit hours of major and other courses and 16 hours of electives. The B.A. in Organizational Leadership centers on people and organizations (human resource management, organizational behavior, conflict and labor negotiations, organizational change), with 39 credit hours of major courses and 43 hours of electives.
A-State-approved credit for prior learning (CPL) recognizes previous accomplishments, reducing tuition costs and time to graduation. Courses run seven weeks in fall and spring and five weeks in summer, with multiple start dates a year. A-State students can also earn professional certificates from top companies through Coursera Career Academy while they study.
