Dive into the online Ed.S. curriculum director program at A-State
Arkansas State University offers an accessible online Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership, Curriculum Director program. If you are already a teacher or administrator and possess a master's degree, this post-graduate program will prepare you for a campus or district curriculum leadership role.
As a Curriculum Director, you will be responsible for school or district instructional materials including the evaluation and development of educational programs, textbooks, classroom technology, and teacher professional development. Upon the completion of this program, you will be able to monitor how effectively curriculum meets students' educational needs.
The coursework for the Specialist's program consists of analysis of comprehensive studies, research and data, administrative logistics, curriculum design, innovations and theories, ethics and professional behavior and legislative aspects of the school system from the perspective of a Curriculum Directorship role.
The program includes an internship requirement that can be completed while you continue working as an educator or school administrator. In addition, some of the coursework you complete as part of this post-master's degree program can apply to an Arkansas State University doctoral degree in education, allowing you to earn that degree in less time.
As licensure requirements may change without notice, it is the responsibility of the student to confirm the requirements for licensure in his/her state as it applies to the participation in an out-of-state degree program.
