    While teaching my first class as a graduate student, I came to the realization that I had found my career.

    Be a good time manager so you can immerse yourself in the learning process while giving appropriate attention to other parts of your life.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the area in which you teach?

    In any profession, communication, time management and organizational skills are critically important.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?

    Keeping up with technology. Learning involves the interaction with the content in some way, but figuring out the best delivery system has become increasingly challenging.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    There is no ONE book. I find value in all the books I read.

  • Tell us something your students may not know about you:

    I am an ordinary, average guy, but I have been successful because I followed the example my mom provided—show up and work hard.
