A-State Online offers a streamlined admission process for both new students and transfers. Students who are interested in the RN to BSN online program should review and follow the requirements for admission below.
Students entering the Nursing Programs are required to have completed a Health Care Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course (i.e., adult, infant, and child with AED). This course may be obtained at the local Red Cross, American Heart Association, or an approved facility. A card or letter demonstrating completion of the course must be presented. Annual proof of continued certification for the entire academic year is required. It is the students' responsibility to maintain current CPR certification.

The College of Nursing and Health Professions School of Nursing requires a high level of proficiency in English so that all students will be able to fully meet academic and clinical objectives as well as meet criteria for professional licensure.
Applicants whose primary language is not english or did not attend K-12 in the United States must demonstrate English language proficiency through the following tests:
The TOEFL and Exit ESL are available at the Testing Center. When taking the exam off campus, the report code for A-State is 6011. All test scores are valid for two (2) years.
